Welcome to Crooklands

Our 17th century former farmhouse is on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, not far from the picturesque village of Clapham. The house is at the foot of Ingleborough with uninterrupted views south to the Forest of Bowland. We are surrounded by farmland, but also within easy reach of both Clapham and Ingleton.

There are numerous footpaths, with 2 routes up Ingleborough close by, making us well positioned to walk the Three Peaks of Ingleborough, Pen-y-Ghent and Whernside from our doorstep.

This is fabulous limestone country - high hills, deep dales, rivers & streams that disappear, caves & potholes. The show caves of Ingleborough & White Scar are nearby; Gaping Gill is accessable over the moor or from Clapham village.

We are on Cycle route 68 and not far off the new Way of the Roses cross-country route.

Falconry, craft, pottery, bookshops, fishing, bird watching, the Settle to Carlisle railway, the Ribblehead Viaduct and a wealth of outdoor activity is catered for within the locality, providing a varied source of interest.
